Wings of Wisdom 48x24 oil by Sharon Markwardt

This Great Horned Owl is one of my Spirit Animals.  It has the ability to see in the dark and is sometimes called a Night Eagle.  It is rarely deceived and holds knowledge.  Though sometimes associated with death, I like to think it is more the end of things or relationships which no longer serve one, so that better things can come.  Since I found a newly dead owl in the wooded area of my back yard, I have had an affinity for these beautiful creatures.
